I cannot believe that we have already secured our stallholders for the Early, Early Christmas Fair. As soon as you have finished one year’s event the next one is hot on your heels. The old adage that Time flies certainly rings true.
It is easy to forget the huge organisational wheel that has to turn full circle for this event. In addition, each year needs a freshness that distinguishes it from the past one. The balance between established and new stallholders needs to be struck and I have been lucky again to have had received such a wealth of applications, which has made this fine-tuning exciting and positive and the Fair such a fun event to stage.
I am writing this as we come into the most wonderful time of year – Spring – and my favourite season. Longer days, birds nesting and seeing all those bulbs sprouting from the soil. Colour seeps back into our landscape.
As soon as Easter is over, summer beckons and then the Early, Early Christmas Fair fast approaches. Even at this stage, the event takes shape because of all those who support it -by either sponsoring it, applying for a stand, volunteering to help, or just taking time to share their thoughts and I would like to say a special thank you now to you all, and to wish you all a very happy Easter. If you do have any new ideas or would love to be involved then we would love to hear from you.
